Current pipes for sale...

Below are the pipes I currently have for sale plus a few I've recently sold so you can see what kind of things I've been working on recently:

Pibau-cyrn in D, yew, with hand carved square chanter.
Tenor drone, 1 octave below chanter, tuneable to D or E.
Fitted with plastic chanter reed. £450 - SOLD

Pibau-cyrn in D with unison drone tuneable to D or E.
Plastic chanter reed for ease of playing. £450

Pibgorn in D, lancewood body. £165 - SOLD

Pibgorn in D, chestnut body. £150 - SOLD


Double pipes - 3 finger G. Bass drone in G.
Chanters fitted with plastic reeds for ease of tuning.

      Hi Jody, I'm struggling a bit at the moment with late onset asthma so am not pipe making right now. The only thing I have is the pibgorn which I show being made in the `making a pibgorn' post on this blog.

      Hi John - I am very sorry to hear about your health problems and I do wish you the best as you cope with problems you are experiencing. Someday, if you are able to return to making pipes again I would love to hear from you. You talents, experience, and abilities are amazing to hear and see as I watch your videos. I would be honored to own pipes and or a pibgorn made by your self. I would like to purchase the pibgorn you posted in your blog. How would you like to go about making this transaction? I really like to use PayPal but I am open to your suggestion or advice. Jody

      Hi Michael - possibly. A pibgorn reed has to be matched to the individual pibgorn in my experience. I've obviously made reeds to suit my own pibgyrn, and a couple of times I've managed to make reeds that work in a Jonothan Shorland pibgorn. Do you know who made your pibgorn?

      I am actually helping a friend get his pipe into shape. He bought it from you. I struggle with getting in tune and play with any consistency and have tried all the tricks I've used with highland pipe drone reeds.

    Shwmae John,
    I run a little community theater in Cwmbran south east Wales, we perform Y Fari Lwyd and the Yr Hela'r Drew,(Hunting of the Wren) an ancient tradition on Calon Gaeaf,(Heart Of Winter) We are expanding out troop to include a quartet, of Squeeze box Welsh Pipes, Cwrdd, and Tabwrdd. We are too poor to buy one of your bagpipes but we wondered if you could help us make one of our own? We are Yr Hyddgen My Name is Richard Morgan. Hwyl.

    Hello from the Great Lakes region of the United States! Your Tose 200 collection of pibgorn tunes is a wonderful find. I started working through them on a Gafin Morgan plastic pibgorn a few years ago. Since then, I've had great fun transferring them to hurdy gurdy and other instruments.. Somehow, though, I have a feeling they might be more at home on an authentic set of Pibau Cyrn. Have you made any lately?

    Hi John,,,,,ope that you are feeling better. you may remember that you made a pibgorn for me a couple of years ago, using two cow horns that I purchased in Prague and Saudi (from Pakistan cow). I have been spending too much time learning the harp and feel that the pibgorn should go to a better home where it will be used. Please let me know if you have anyone interested, Diolch yn fawr, Wyn
